Coriolis Dance Undiscovere’d Country (2021) A dance film by Christin Call and Madeleine Gregor
Among the forests and rubble of a post-apocalyptic landscape, a tribe of mysterious forest creatures forage for toxic apples, alternately hoarding and gorging on their mind-altering properties. As the creatures wander from place to place, they might offer them to unknowing travellers, who question the motives and the tantalizing nature of the fruit they collect.
What began as a modified telephone game to occupy themselves during quarantine has become a multi-series project. This is the first of a two-part film that explores the many myths of beauty and desire that surround the golden apple--from Aphrodite and the Hesperides to Snow White's own poison.
